Not in cases where the matador is killed, though. In those cases, not only is the bull still killed (and often used for meat, as mentioned elsewhere), but it's tradition that his "lineage" be destroyed, so get this. His mother is sent to the slaughterhouse. No shit. What a great sport, huh? Bring a poor animal into an arena, torture it for awhile, then bring out some douchebag in frilly clothes to posture for awhile. Then regardless of whether the douchebag or the bull wins, the bull gets killed. If he had the temerity to kill his abuser, his mother also gets killed. I'm personally glad this asshole's dead. |
