Re: Víctor Barrio's Last Bullfight
Vlad Tepes was royalty at times of war in the dark ages, and is revered as a hero by Romanians and Bulgarians. Truman killed far more people than old Vlad ever did. We call Alexander of Macedon "the Great" here in the west, but the middle east remembers him as the devil Iskander Gujaste, "Alexander the Accursed". Point being that it's silly to think of historic people as "good" or "evil", it's all relative and pointless. Humans kill humans. It's always been our nature. At any rate, I fail to see your point. Mine is that we can watch people kill each other all day without wincing but we're sensitive to cruelty to animals and if it's a fight between an animal and a human, we tend to root for the animal. Are we overly emotional when it comes to animals or are we overly indifferent to human suffering? The way I see it, it has to be one or the other. |

Re: Víctor Barrio's Last Bullfight
Thanks and fairly well said. I wasn't putting Vlad or his actions down. Yes, it's a paradox in cases as this, the "innocent" animal's welfare for many people, takes precedence over the human's. It's a difficult issue. |

Re: Víctor Barrio's Last Bullfight
Nice to see the bull win once in a while, even though it was most likely killed afterwards. At least he got to take one down with him. Olé this
