"He's dead, he has no pulse" well how about CPR then??? What kinda fucked up country is this where they teach kids that no pulse means dead (or assume that due to the lack of knowledge)? At least try it - especially if that's a friends of yours laying there... Apply CPR until the ambulance arrives - they either take over and continue or make the descision to stop... I don't know about the US, but here in Germany EVERYBODY who has a driver's license has to take (by law) a mandatory first aid class prior to taking driving lessons. You don't have to stay proficient or retake the first aid class after that though, so a lot of people forget over time - but that's still better then nothing imho... |
