Re: Usa - Security Guard Shot Man Who Pulled Gun
I don’t think you read my post. Or you did and are seeing what you want to see. The problem with that is there is a trial to review the case. Someone like me on the jury? That guard is getting a guilty verdict. That’s what can happen when firearms are so widely available and supported. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. |

Re: Usa - Security Guard Shot Man Who Pulled Gun
You are arguing with what you think I said, apparently without reading the posts very carefully. If you go back and read my posts you will see that I have no issue at all with the guard firing while the perp remains a threat. I think his actions were overkill on the basis of the number of shots fired (mag dump + multiple shotgun rounds). Refer dictionary definition of "overkill". It is unclear how many of those shots actually hit the perp. The fact he was also carrying a shotgun seems odd to me, I don't recall seeing that before. That, plus the fact he seemed to fire everything he had, makes me wonder if he had a "rambo" complex. But, to be clear, he was totally justified in shooting the perp who was clearly a complete moron. The fact the perp died is a result of the perp's dumb decisions. As for the last sentence in your message, I apologise for bringing facts into the discussion and also for not allowing you to tell me what I meant when I wrote my post. |

Re: Usa - Security Guard Shot Man Who Pulled Gun
Naw, he pulled his taser at first, which was on his chest, you can watch his right hand go down to the holster on his right hip to draw his firearm after the perp drew his pistol.

Re: Usa - Security Guard Shot Man Who Pulled Gun
Even if that’s the case, that is still beside the point. I saw no threat that even warranted a taser. Again, the deceased drew his firearm only when he was drawn on and even beat the security guard to the draw. I see no reason to believe he would know the guard was pulling a taser instead of a firearm (IF that’s what happened). Regardless, he never pointed it at the guard to necessitate lethal force. |
