According to the Dallas Police Department, the fatal collision happened on LBJ Freeway between Abrams Road and Greenville Avenue at around 2:40 p.m.

A man was riding a black motorcycle eastbound on the Freeway when he crashed into the rear of a dump truck.

The motorcyclist was killed in the accident.

The collision resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes and traffic was diverted onto TI Boulevard.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

DOT regulations for trucks/buses require a WORKING ABC fire extinguisher XXlbs, charged, securely mounted, easily accessible. Undoubtedly had one been used early, that fire would have been snuffed out. I see no evidence of that an extinguisher was used.
