Re: USA - La Brea and Slauson Crash Leaves 6 Dead
No wonder, what? No wonder I'm right? You're implying the fact I happen to live within spittin' radius of a murder/suicide perpetrated by a man explains something about ME to YOU? Haaaaaa Guess what, another household I lived 3 blocks from in high school suffered the same fate. A husband killed his wife and two teenaged kids then offed himself. However, when I was around 25, there was another neighbor down the street in a different area I lived in... the wife... she shot herself in the chest. Left her husband and son very much alive. Rhetorical but what does that tell you? It tells me that it's a frequent occurrence in the United States and that even 2/3 of my experiences being around it were perpetrated by men... and the woman didn't take anyone with her. It should tell you exactly what I've been saying. You're wrong. What's hilarious to me is you don't even use facts to support your ideals. Ignorance is bliss, as they say. I'm smart enough to know that no amount of knowledge I throw at you is going to convince you. So, I digress and leave you with yet more facts to explain away with your delusions. Just don't waste anymore of your time explaining them to me. I've already won this argument. https://www.tennessean.com/story/new...rs/1676431002/ https://vpc.org/studies/amroul2020.pdf https://www.cdc.gov/suicide/suicide-rates-by-state.html https://save.org/about-suicide/suicide-statistics/ https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/b...urder-suicides https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/...icide-families http://jaapl.org/content/37/3/371

Geez woman, you must have a black shadow following you. Please remind me to never live in your neighborhood.

On the other hand, you may just have picked a fight with a woman who suspiciously sees a slew of murder/suicides follow her wherever she goes, in which case this would be an appropriate time to start worrying. She might very well be the shadow you speak of.

Re: USA - La Brea and Slauson Crash Leaves 6 Dead
Whilst the points are devolving, one can argue some validity on both sides. There's no denying men own the violence space. The assertion is axiomatic and underwritten by data. In fact, women underperform in every subcategory of homicide except poisonings and infanticide. Explanations for male violence correctly cite recalcitrant male traits like aggression, perversion, and dominance. Analogously, there exist recalcitrant female traits like negativity, jealousy, and manipulation. While such traits aren't tantamount to homicide, it's still reasonable to cite them as explanations for violence. Alas, data can't underwrite those explanations because the traits are hard to distill, quantify, and correlate. This leaves theories proposing "women's jealousy portends murder" reliant on intuition and therefore prone to discredit ala sexism (as is merely ascribing women unflattering qualities). In short, it is possible that female traits commissioned this woman to slaughter six innocents. Regardless of the veracity of that claim however, she and the other four billion women are barely relevant when documenting reality. |
