I do share your compassion—but I assume you're speaking rhetorically, since obviously there isn't anyone out there to answer, let alone grant prayers—and even if there were such an entity, hypothetically, it would be nonsensical for it to reverse itself, especially on a whim—in light of its putative, purported atributes of 'immutability', 'intransigence' of 'character,' 'divine' determinism and preternaturally trenchant, a priori 'omniscience.' Under no circumstances I don't think I would just be standing there waiting to die. I would have nothing to lose, so why not fight? Cowering in a corner waiting to die? Fight or flight would take over. I don't get it.
