Tyberius, you have more sense than quite a few on here. Nice that someone else sees the difference between professional killers, and professional soliders. And you are right, people want revenge, and when they fight with their emotions, they can and often do let those emotions get in the way. And that can cost them their own lives.

My nephew went to Iraq, at Camp Anaconda. I told him before he joined that he did not know what he was getting himself into. Of course he would not listen, and now has PTSD. When he came back, he said he wished he had listened to me. Now he has to have an AR-15 in his sight at all times. It doesn't have to be loaded, but it has to be in sight. He had to scrape up 3 of his closest friends, and it fucked him up.

I think the problem is that soldiers are just that, professional soldiers. They're not professional killers.
