Two Women Friends Found Stabbed to Death
Two women were found dead in Rocinha, in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, in the early hours of this Thursday (29). According to police officers, the two young women had an argument and one murdered the other and then killed herself. Family members contest the version. (See quoted comment below for why.) The victims are S.P., 19 years old, and F.A.M., 20 years old. One body was found on the bed and the other in the bathroom of the property. Both had stab marks. The two young women were childhood friends. S. arrived in Rio de Janeiro a fortnight ago to live in the community with an aunt. The bodies were found in the house where she was living. UPDATE: Per Ved. This morning police arrested the 22 year old boyfriend of the young woman dead in the bathroom. Despite denying being present at the crime scene, police found and verified the presence of human blood on his flip-flops and also on a shirt he had tossed in the laundry. No motive has been revealed, but he is currently in a cell being interviewed. Both girls' families have been protesting the murder/suicide theory throughout and, to be frank, an angry boyfriend slashing them both to bits is a hell of a lot more plausible. Especially given the lack of defensive wounds on the bed-girl's body. She was likely either asleep or not feeling at all threatened before she died. The girl in the bathroom was very likely held down by the killer, with her throat slashed from behind and above. If she'd been standing and doing it herself, the arterial spray on the wall would be much higher. But based on the blood pattern on the wall, it would be just about correct for someone pressing her to the floor, pulling her head back, and taking a slice. |

Okay, so the first two photos here are of the girl lying face down in the bathroom with the knife. The others are of her friend on the bed. And yes, the one lying face down will definitely be landing in the Bladder thread. Good catch. The families are disputing the murder/suicide claims for several reasons. The main one being that both girls' cell phones were removed from the scene. Family members attempted to contact them for several hours after the girls were found, but both phones had been shut off.  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
