Re: Two Poor Young teenagers die in accident
No it's not necessarily their laws but their people. Scams are really popular. Which is why there are dash cams in nearly everyone's car in China. I guess it's happened a lot where an injured person gets assistance from people. And then basically sues the helper blaming them for injuring them. Or they just fake injures. But there is a good samaritan law in China that protects people now. But as you can see from many videos it hasn't changed whether people help. It's just ingrained in their culture now. I mean just look at this video. It's not laws or fear of being sued you see. You see a lack of compassion. You see no emotions of witnessing what would be traumatizing to most civilized people. No sadness as the severely injured, surely in his last moments, looking over at the girl, maybe his wife or sister. And using his last act to drag his mangled body over to her. That's just a culture of people who have no feelings of connection to eachother. |

Re: Two Poor Young teenagers die in accident
In China, there are no "Good Samaritan" laws. If you get involved IN ANY WAY in any accident or incident, YOU ARE FULLY INVOLVED. Instead of the truck driver, and the two kids, there is now the truck driver, the 2 kids, and YOU. The only safe course is to NEVER get involved in ANY WAY. China really does need to enact such laws, but they are hindered by their idea that the government is more important than the people. That, and the idea that everyone involved is the same. |

Re: Two Poor Young teenagers die in accident
There is a good samaritan law in China. I'm not sure if it's still this way but the law states no liability to good Samaritans. Which is actually bad. Most good samaritan laws have some liability. So a person trying to help you can't do anything stupid and not be liable. China is fucking weird though. There's a saying in China. It's better to kill than injure. Mostly in vehicle accidents. Meaning if you hit some lady crossing the street. It's better for you to just run her over rather than slamming the breaks and just injuring her. Because the law is if you just injured her. You will be ordered to pay for her hospital bills and pay her for the remainder of her life. And injury lawsuits are extremely popular. But if she dies, you only have to pay for the funeral. And there's tons of stories of people hitting someone, and then backing up and running over them again and again to make sure they die. Not all of them obviously. But Chinese people make Americans look like a nation of Saints. Chinese people value money and processions over the lives of their neighbors. At a far far greater extent. They just don't care about other people. And this is a country wanting to have control over the world. A nation that wants America's place in the world. Just think if they were so powerful nobody could do anything. They don't even care about eachother. What do you think they'd do to other nations people who they see as a problem? |
