Two Paedophiles Executed with AK-47s
Two paedophiles have been executed with AK-47s in front of a bloodthirsty crowd for raping and murdering a 12-year-old boy in Yemen. Video shows W. R. and M. K. being marched at gunpoint through the port city of Aden. Yemen is one of the few countries in the world where capital punishment is legal, and even children were in attendance to watch the gruesome event. R., 28, and K., 31, were condemned for the abduction, rape, and murder of a young boy who was snatched after playing next to the house of one of the men. The pair reportedly dragged him into their home and raped him. When sentencing the pair, The Daily Star reported that the judge said: “After the rape, they could not silence the cries of the child who begged for help, one of them grabbed a knife and cracked his neck.” |

Actually, from a statistical standpoint an arbitrary individual is more likely than not to live in a place where he is subject to capital punishment. Over 50 countries practice it at the most recent count. Granted that this is a minority of countries, it includes some of the most populous (e.g. China, India) so that about 60 percent of the global population live in areas where they are potentially subject to the death penalty.
