Two Motorcyclists Killed After Sedan Driver Slams Into Them
Kaohsiung City, Taiwan Two motorcyclists were killed when a 24-year-old unlicensed driver, identified as Mr He, driving a red sedan, veered sharply from his lane and slammed into two motorcycles. The victims were identified as 40-year-old Ms Li, and 30-year-old Mr Pan, a Vietnamese migrant worker. He, his wife, and his nine-month-old daughter, suffered minor injuries. It transpired that Mr He had never had a driver's license. He admitted to travelling at around 80 km/h when he heard an unusual tyre noise, before losing control. He was a repeat offender, having already been charged with driving without a license earlier in June. Mr He faces charges of negligent homicide. He was released on NT$100,000 (US$3,100) bail. |
