Re: Two Motorcycles Collide Killing One Person
Dayum, that sucks... In a perfect world...... If there are no drug allergies to opiates, or after initial ABC assessment with negative indication head injury present; some morphine 20 mg IM injection would be nice for the surviving victim. It would at least get her somewhat out of the pain.. I've administered morphine to patients from trauma and its amazing what that drug can do to get the patient more comfortable while you are stabilizing them. Outside of the drug allergy, the only contraindications of morphine use in this specific scenario, would be severe respiratory distress which would lower respiratory rate, or head injury that would increase intracranial pressure if morphine was used. Of course this would include stabilizing the patient for transport.. |
