Ecuador. M. J. P. T, 19, and H. P. L. Z, 22, were murdered after a fight broke out in the street. It was around 04:30 last Sunday when a group of young people were drinking alcoholic beverages in the acapulco neighbourhood. For reasons not yet established, a fight began, which ended when one of those present took out a rifle-type firearm and fired at both men. Once the attacker fled, residents left their homes and observed that the victims had injuries on their bodies. One of them was left on the bucket of a truck and the other on the dirt floor.  Minutes later, personnel from the National Police arrived, who verified that the two men had no vital signs. The removal of the corpses did not take many minutes, since the sector is the territory of a criminal group and to avoid confrontations they loaded the bodies into the Forensic Sciences vehicle and took them away. A report details that this crime would be due to a territorial dispute for the sale of drugs. One was hit 37 times and the other victim 15 times. One had a criminal record for the crimes of murder and drug trafficking subject to control; however, in this case what was strange was the situation of the other victim, who despite being an adult has never been registered in the Civil Registry. In addition, the police were unable to obtain information on this case, because the residents did not want to collaborate for fear of reprisals. With these two violent deaths, there are now a total of 18 so far this year in this area. Of the victims, one is a woman and another man remains unidentified.   |
