Gunmen affiliated with "El Gabito" or "El 80" interrogated two members of Los Cabreras, who were subsequently dismembered while still alive.

The bodies of these two men were placed in a large pot, in a macabre allusion to the popular Mexican soup/stew, pozole. A banner was also found at the scene, signed by Oscar Gabriel Martínez Larios, a high-ranking member of La Chapiza.
