Behold the plane was climbing pretty fast; it is not a 2 or 4 seater.
I suspect an engine fail, and moreover, a noob error:
turning into head wind for a 180: slowing down,
in the end landing with hostile sideways tail wind

I'm not the expert at all but his climb seemed to be too steep.
I was surprised he was able to level it off before he hit the ground.
But, as things turned out, he might have been better just augering in, as they say.

I was going to comment about the guy just stood filming the poor guy burning to death then i took a minute to imagine just how hot those flame were it looks an easy rescue sat watching from the comfort of your home but that heat from the fuel makes it a zero% chance of rescue

Imagine trying to drag a person that is virtually dead weight, only their clothing and skin is sleeping off every where you can get a grip. Oh yeah, then add a couple hundred gallons of avgas burning around you.

Unless you're wearing bunker gear, you're pretty much physically restricted to just observing, if you wish to hang around.

I agree. But man, fuel fires are super hot! I would burn myself to save a life, but would I risk my life? I think I would, but the heat and pain to get close. This is like, chop your left nut off or your right nut. Which is it? There is no good choice here. There is a huge price for anything. But by looking at him, he is already dead. You can't survive that quantity of burns to your body. He is literally 100% burned. He is moving and about to die, but you have to be logical instead of emotional. See that he is already dead. I don't know how I will die, but burning has to be the worst. That and drowning.
