In Surin province, Thailand, a sedan collided into a group of four cyclists before crashing into an electricity pole. Two of the cyclists - 61-year-old P.C. and 59-year-old S.D. - were killed in the incident.

The 26-year-old driver of the sedan, P.K., sustained injuries to the chest, and required extrication from his wrecked Toyota vehicle. Near the Toyota, a bottle of liquor was found amongst some bushes. P. has been provisionally charged with "reckless driving resulting in death".
