Two Killed, 18 Injured when Rocks Hit Bathing Turists Under Waterfall
Two people died and 18 were injured after giant rocks fell at the Velo de la Novia waterfall, in Peru. In a statement from the Regional Government, it was confirmed that the victims were a girl under 9 years old and a man over 70 years old, C.C.G.C, who were taking a bath "in the area of the lower pools" when the rocks fell. The enormous stones unexpectedly fell from the mountain at high speed, surprising the victims and causing panic among those present. The deceased were turists. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the local health center, while eight injured people were evacuated in ambulances to the hospital for immediate medical attention. |

Someone didn't pray enough to their gods of choice. It's always been hard for me to grasp people who pray for things and expect them to happen. And especially for things like this. Sad that 2 people died. Especially the little girl.  |
