I almost saw something like this up in Oregon. What happened was the horse tripped coming out of the gate and started running in the opposite direction and almost collided head on with the others. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often actually.

Why did the horses run in the wrong direction?
Because they had no jockeys on their back and they don't know the rules about which way to run because they are " horses " !
