Re: Two Execution Style Murders in Syria One Blindfolded then Shot Multiple Times
The Frog & The Scorpion A scorpion is sitting on the bank of the Euphrates river, trying to figure out a way across. Just then, a frog comes hopping along and asks the scorpion what he's doing. The scorpion explains to the frog his desire to cross to the opposite bank and laments his inability to swim, at which point the frog informs the scorpion that he was already planning on crossing to the opposite bank and that he would be happy to have the scorpion ride on his back were he not afraid of the scorpion stinging him during the trip. In response to the frog's concerns, the scorpion informs the frog that if he were to sting the frog while they were crossing the river, they would both drown. The frog sees the logic in the scorpion's assertion, and finally agrees to give the scorpion a ride. Halfway across the river, the scorpion legitimizes the frog's fears when he begins to sting him. As the frog writhes in agony knowing that his own demise is imminent, he frog asks the scorpion why he would choose to doom them both. The scorpion replies that it is in his nature, and that he believes that it is better that they both perish than for his enemy to have lived. And that, folks, is the Middle East. |
