Two Criminals Accused of Stabbing Mototaxi Driver Are Found Murdered
In Parintins, Amazonas state, Brazil, a motorcycle taxi driver, 38-year-old Adson T.P., was stabbed multiple times in the chin and abdomen. He bled out at the scene. Neither Adson's cell phone nor his motorcycle were found at the scene, and witnesses reported seeing Adson driving two men on his back.     The following day, the bodies of two men were found inside an abandoned house, with their hands and feet tied. One of the men had several slashes on the back of his head; the other had a gaping neck wound and part of his intestines were exposed. Police assume that the two men were the murderers of Adson, and that a drug trafficking gang had tortured and killed the men after sending them through a "crime court".       |

Bonus post The body of a 22-year-old homeless man, Thiago J.R.P., was found under a bridge in the centre of Manaus, Amazonas state. His neck had been slit, and there were several bruises on his face. Next to the corpse were two notes, reading "Dead because he's a thief" and "Waiting for the next one". |

"Police assume that the two men were the murderers of Adson, and that a drug trafficking gang had tortured and killed the men after sending them through a "crime court"." We assume that the police are right so that they can close the case without need to investigate further. Case closed.

Police its excessively ineffective in LATAM, so anonymous vigilantes are well seen by people. This inefficiency is such that I have known of cases where people asked the police for help when thiefs are trying to assault them and the police only responds "I am only here to take care of these facilities, not the people"; this in CDMX. |
