Colombia. In a commercial establishment where they sell alcoholic beverages, cigarettes and snacks two brothers and an off-duty cop were shot and killed after armed hitmen entered the business and opened fire at a table where the victims were socializing.

One of the victims was Óscar A.D.T, a 31-year-old active-duty police patrolman. He had served 10 years in the institution and was simply on a scheduled day off/leave at the time.

The other two victims were brothers, Duván and Joaquín O.G. Some community reports suggested one worked as a local money lender.

The hitmen fled immediately into the surrounding neighborhood. According to the human rights organization Indepaz, this marks the 94th recorded massacre in Colombia for the year.

The region suffers from ongoing turf wars over illicit economies involving illegal armed groups like the Frente 57 Yair Bermúdez, local criminal gangs and the Clan del Golfo.
