I live near a lot of farms and this happens every few years. I was on the volunteer fire dept and responded to a guy just like this only it was a water pump with a long drive shaft. His clothing got wrapped so tight and when it couldn't wrap any more the shaft just spun. That's how we found him, shaft actually smoking his clothing from the friction. It obviously produced a lot of trauma but what ultimately did him in was suffocation. It constricted his chest so tight it crushed his rib cage through his lungs.
