Twin Falls In-N-Out Burger Shooting: 3 Killed, 7 Wounded
TWIN FALLS, Idaho. At least three people were killed and seven wounded Saturday afternoon when a gunman opened fire at a recently opened In-N-Out Burger, turning a busy stretch of commercial road into a scene of confusion, local authorities said. The man believed to have carried out the shooting is also dead, though police have stressed that neither his identity nor his motive has been confirmed. The gunfire started around 2:29 p.m. MDT in one of the busiest retail corridors on the north side of Twin Falls. Witness Lane Koehn said he watched a young man in dark clothing get out of a car sitting in the restaurant's drive-through lane, and that the man appeared to be panicking. Carrying a rifle of the AR-15 type, he started shooting indiscriminately at passing cars near a nearby traffic light before turning his attention to the restaurant itself. Witnesses described him as anything but composed, saying he was running, swinging the rifle around, and firing as he went. Several witnesses said an armed civilian with a handgun traded shots with him and appeared to drive him behind cover. Inside the building, customers and staff scrambled, among them a woman waiting on an order with her daughters. They took cover beneath the kitchen counters before getting out of the building. The first officers and medics on scene found wounded people spread across the parking lot and the roads around it. One of them was a young female In-N-Out employee with gunshot wounds through her chest and back. Coworkers and bystanders worked on her with first aid until paramedics could take over. Those injured were taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center, where several are still listed in critical condition. The hospital briefly limited access and asked the public to stay away unless they had a life-threatening emergency of their own. The restaurant had been serving customers for only about a week, part of the chain's recent push into southern Idaho. Twin Falls police, with substantial help from the FBI, have opened a large investigation. One of the immediate tasks facing investigators is interviewing hundreds of people who were somewhere in that shopping area when the shooting started. The suspect's body was found near the scene. In-N-Out President Lynsi Snyder and a number of early reports have described the death as a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but police have not yet issued an official cause of death. Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks told residents there is no continuing threat to the public. Police also said a drive-by shooting reported later Saturday evening on Trotter Drive had nothing to do with the attack at the restaurant. Updates Herehere |

And fyi, guy in bottom vid above was one of two civilians returning fire, forcing him away from drive thru. That's when he nailed the tesla charging station. Blue tesla had one shot and is critical, (not shown) right tesla, older couple, killed the man, lady critical. In and out , one dead, young girl and was an employee. Shooter chickenshitted out, offed himself. |
