Bridge height varies across the span. If it was 64m (210 ft), the fall time would be 3.6 sec and impact velocity 80 mph. I crudely counted the fall time closer to 4.0 sec, which makes the distance 78m (257 ft) and impact velocity 88 mph. |

Thank you for the calculations! That’s certainly not survivable… not hitting the water that fast. Especially since it looks as if he hit the water on his head, that would at the very least break his neck. |

Ugh, I'd be too scared to kill myself like this. I'd hate relying only on things like possible aortic rupture, possible severed spine etc. At least concrete literally opens you up, so even if you survive you'll definitely bleed out |

Survivable. on the flip side is Ironmike AKA Mikethebigpussyaboutheights. I went to use the 12 foot dive board at our municipal pool this past summer. I climbed the ladder and didn't have the sack to even walk to the end of the board. Me and my vagina went back down the ladder. Next person up was a kid that looked about 10. He nailed it. |
