The only reason he's still alive is they didn't cut any major arteries while he was incapacitated, and also like someone said there's an adrenaline iv in his arm that's why he was still so full of energy

Either way it's not hard to envision them drugging him intramusculary or intravenously.

Or simply drug his water(you won't complain about the taste of some water if you are so thirsty you'd drink your own piss).
