If you look at what's left of the steering-wheel where it mounts to the hub it looks like his body bent the shit out of it on impact. I also think I can see exposed (and roasted) intestines. Could be a result of his body exploding as the heat boiled his insides or maybe the steering-wheel split him open. Either way, nasty way to go. Seat-belts save lives...sometimes.
