Truck Tyre Rolls Into Service Station and Fatally Knocks Down Woman
Chongqing, China At approximately 2.50pm on April 10, Mr. Liu was driving a heavy semi-trailer truck along the Chongqing section of the G85 Yinchuan–Kunming Expressway, near the Yongchuan Service Area, when a tyre from the outer side of the third axle (out of 6 axles and 24 tyres total) suddenly detached. The tyre rolled forward into the adjacent service area, striking a pedestrian, 48-year-old Mrs. Huang, resulting in her unfortunate death. No other injuries or property damage occurred in the incident, which remains under further investigation. |
