Theoretically, of course!

Wind turbines make as much sense as harvesting free energy from a high voltage cable, both can result in spectacular fires

Well, I understand the "Faraday Cage" effect also protects you if you are inside a car that is struck by lightning. The energy will pass AROUND you, and thus spare you the smoke and flash.

I also believe your are supposed to jump, try to have both feet touch the ground at the same time and shuffle away.

Re: Truck Driver Died When Harvester Came Into Contact With Power Lines

If your going to leave the vehicle to avoid burning to death, JUMP out both feet at a time. Land far enough away from the sources of electricity do NOT fall back onto the truck.
