Kayra Helin, a transgender woman, died by suicide in Turkey in early June 2025 while broadcasting live on TikTok. During the broadcast, she spoke to the camera from an apartment balcony as viewers urged her to go inside. A separate recording from the ground captured her falling from the building.

The Bursa Women's Platform took to the streets on June 11 following her death.
