His partner, who had descended down the zipline moments before, recorded the second video. S., a native of Pará state, landed hard on the sand and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

My guess was death from a brain injury based on how the back of his head appears to smack into the ground, but that's what their lawyer is claiming also. Apparently this was the 5th tourist related accident in the city, and there was another one that happened a week later that left another person dead and 6 injured. ...That city needs to get their shit together.

The lawyer for the family of tourist S.M.L.d.S., 39, killed in a zip-line fall on Canoa Quebra beach, on the coast of Ceará, denounces the owner of the equipment for negligence. According to the defense, the support beam of the equipment, which collapsed during the descent on the toy, causing the fall that resulted in M's death.

"The support beams that were made of wood were not well buried, they were buried only at a superficial level of the sand. Therefore, they did not provide the necessary firmness for those who carried out the tour", said the lawyer, João Pedro Monteiro.
