This happened on Sept 19 in Pattaya, Thailand.
A dad who is a traffic police was frustrated with his 21 years old son for constantly playing video games. The dad began yelling at the son, took out his 9mm and place it on the front of his son. The son grabbed it and shot himself in the head. The mom then took the gun and threw it on the front of their house. A couple of teenagers took the gun which was later tracked down by the police.
The son is currently in a coma and probably won't live thats why I am putting the video in the death section.
I really don't understand the purpose of the dad pulling out his gun at the first place.. And did the dad smacked his son's head after he shot himself?

In the early hours of Saturday the son of a Traffic Police Officer shot himself in the head as he attempted to end his own life at the culmination of a serious fight with his Father.

The incident occurred at the “Kua Bunlort” Convenience Store on the Siam Country Club Road just before 2am on Saturday.

The shop is owned by Police Senior Sergeant Major Anupap who had just finished work and returned home to find his son, Khun Tosawat aged 21, playing online games.

It was time for the shop to close and the Officer was angry that his son did not help his Mother to close but continued to play his games. Eventually this led to a confrontation between Father and Son.

The Officer had removed his uniform and placed his gun belt on a table. He began a word fight with his Son, who eventually picked up his Father’s gun and shot himself in the side of his head.

The young man was rushed to the Hospital and is currently in a serious but stable condition. Police are investigating the incident.

Pretty over dramatic thing to do for the son but the go lay down on the floor and do the shaky dance by the parents was hilarious.

dad probably thought son was making fun of him by firing the cocked dad's gun over the son's head. thus the head smack. then just realized that it was for real.

another is the son probably thought the dad was just scaring him and daring him with an empty gun. probably thought the chambering did not really chamber a round.

Gun ignorance / irresponsibility both.

another gun ignorant one is the mother. there's a new round in the chamber when she threw the gun out. it could have misfired and killed somebody else. even my old mother know not to point a gun at someone even when not loaded. and to remove the clip and unchamber the forward round if i ever left the gun at home.
