Toronto Police Video Of 22 y/o Reon Paul's 2006 Murder Scene
Raw video:Homicide investigators released graphic footage today(Feb 10/09) of a young man as he lay bleeding to death in a parking lot. They hope the video will trigger new leads in the 2006 murder. The video clip shows Reon Paul, a 22-year-old aspiring chef at George Brown College, lying on his back, his eyes closed, his clothing stained with blood. A police officer turns him over on his side while crowds of people stand and watch. As many as 400 people were gathered in the parking lot of a strip mall near Jane and Wilson streets on June 22, 2006 to celebrate the Ghana national soccer team victory over the U.S. in the World Cup of Soccer. “I would caution the public…there are graphic images of Reon Paul shortly after he was stabbed,” Detective John Biggerstaff said. “Certainly, in this day in age, it is a way of gaining the attention of the people who may have been present at the event.” Police say Mr. Paul was stabbed in the upper chest after a confrontation between three to six people at about 6:30 p.m. Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the killing. Police said there is no evidence that the incident was gang-related. Mr. Paul’s mother, Seeta Kumar and his 28-year-old sister, Tiana McGregor, sat in the press gallery at police headquarters today while officers played the two-minute long clip. Ms. McGregor was seeing it for the first time. “It’s very graphic but at the same time, the purpose of it is to help police. Hopefully, people are not just looking at it for the wrong reasons. Hopefully, they’re looking at it and they can help,” she said. Ms. Kumar added: “It’s a modest sacrifice just to get a little disclosure.” The video was sent to police anonymously shortly after the incident. |

Hey, Firefly. It says "Mr. McGregor & Mr. Kumar" when just above it says his "mother" & "sister". Considering the IQ of some you might want to edit it.....to save you some idiotic remarks.  |

Jane/Wilson is one of the lower-class (i.e. black) areas of the city. Not a ghetto in the crime-ridden, bombed-out manner of American ghettos, but a low-income and undesirable neighbourhood to live.
