Brazil. Yesterday, at approximately 6:34 PM, an off-duty Military Police officer and his mother were targeted in an attempted robbery close to the Acqua Fitness gym in the Western Zone of Rio de Janeiro.

Two armed criminals on a motorcycle approached the victims. The off-duty officer immediately reacted to the ambush by drawing his service weapon and opening fire. According to witnesses, more than 15 gunshots were heard in rapid succession, followed by the sound of a motorcycle speeding away.

One of the assailants, a man estimated to be around 25 years old, was struck multiple times, collapsed and died at the scene before medical assistance could arrive.

The second suspect was also shot and wounded during the exchange, but managed to escape the scene on the motorcycle.

Local hospitals and clinics have been alerted to report any individuals seeking treatment for matching gunshot wounds

Nothing much cooler than seeing some dead asshole on a Saturday morning. Nice to see some folks cleaning up the streets where they live.

Are you really sure this is Brazil?

Only one pair of flip flops… does this mean they are evolving?
