Actually, after watching the video again, I think that is four people the train hit!

Unless that one person that tired to avoid being hit was lucky.

I get the impression it was a quadruple suicide as both 'couples' had an arm around each other.
That or they didn't realize there was a train on the tracks they were standing between because of the train on the set of tracks on the left.

Many train engineers are seriously traumatized when people trespass on the tracks and get killed by the train the engineer is running.

Definitely see four people on the tracks. I'm guessing the person in the red managed to get off the tracks.

I had to watch it a second time. I was paying attention to the other train. I'm going with they didn't realize a train was behind them with all the noise.

arms around each other bracing themselves for impact. you can see the last 2 people separate and try to avoid the train (second thoughts maybe) but they were too late

What were they thinking walking along train tracks like that?

They clearly didn't see or hear it coming due to noise from the other train and they were walking with their backs to the train.

Really foolish. Maybe they thought the line was disused or something.
