Three Killed in Armed Attack at Billiard Hall
Ecuador. An armed attack inside a billiard hall in the Manabí province left 3 people dead and at least one wounded. The incident occurred Monday night when 3 men entered the establishment and opened fire on a group of people who were playing games and chatting there. The violent event was captured on a security camera in the area. After the burst of gunfire, the attackers fled in an unknown direction. So far, the police have not issued an official report on the possible causes or those responsible for the attack, although it is not ruled out that it is related to disputes between criminal groups operating in the province. This weekend, 8 people were killed and one was injured after another armed attack occurred at a cockfighting arena. With this latest act of violence, Manabí has surpassed 1,030 murders so far in 2025, consolidating itself as one of the provinces most affected by criminal violence in Ecuador.  |

They must have been some bad dudes to get shot to death like that. Looked like a random group of friends to me.   You can’t judge a book by its cover or people who are just sitting around together either.  |

That one guy on the far left might have survived it by getting shot at least once and playing dead. He's not present in the photo, so maybe he got sent to the hospital.

If these guys were really drug guys, why would they be walking around with no weapons? I half expected them to return fire, especially if they were members of an opposing drug gang. Unless they thought that was a safe place to hang out. Which would be pretty dumb, because NO WHERE is a safe place to hang out in Ecuador.  |
