I don’t get it. How would that damage 39 homes? It’s a large explosion but it doesn’t make sense to me… I might just be dumb and am missing it entirely |

Likely not a meth lab, they don't go up like that; they do burn intensely though. If anything drug related, it would likely be BHO or Butane Hash Oil. We have seen a number of enormous house explosions here from exactly that. The last time, one of the occupants pushed the start button on the dryer, and detonated the butane mix inside the house. Killed him and his room mate. |

The same thing happened in my city. Renters moved out, took their dryer but didnt close the gas valve all the way. Came back later and smelled it and left a voicemail for the property manager. Building filled over the weekend. Property manager either didnt get voicemail or is stupid and entered the building monday morning. The atmospheric pressure from opening the door turned the gas explosive. They couldnt determine the exact ignition source. I I lived about 15 blocks away and was taking a nap on my day off. It felt like a semi truck hit the foundation of my house. People more than 5 miles away reported hearing it. Oblitereated the house and knocked off roofs and foundations around it. Damaged the whole neighborhood. Only killed the manager. |
