Irapuato, Guanajuato - A shoot out between Criminal Investigation Agents and heavily armed individuals, left two wounded police officers, outside the Jalisco taqueria, located in the El Cortijo neighborhood in Irapuato.

The events were recorded around 8 in the evening this Thursday between the boulevard Arandas and Avenida España.

The two policemen were about to board an official Silverado Chevrolet truck, after dinner, but at that moment they were attacked with gunfire by the occupants of a white Ford Edge SUV.

The policemen managed to repel the aggression, but the gunmen fled into Las Americas colony, where they left the SUV abandoned, with bloodstains. The official police SUV was left outside the taqueria with firearm impacts and the two police officers injured. One of them with serious injuries, which eventually were taken to receive attention at the Mac Hospital.

The area was cordoned off so that the Public Prosecutor in turn could set signs and carry out the official report to begin with the integration of an investigative folder.

The Mac hospital where the agents are located is under police protection.

The video

A 52-second video recorded with a cell phone seconds after the armed attack on two ministerial agents in Plaza Vaiven in the Cortijo subdivision, shows that the agents tried to protect themselves from the attack inside a local gym.

In the video audio, a woman is heard crying, and the floor can be seen with blood stains. The young man recording, does so from the inside of the gym. He takes a tour together with the woman and the cell phone recording to the outside of the business. And the following can be heard: "Close your eyes, do not open them Dani".

Help for the injured Ministerial Policemen

The young man recorded the moment in which several people and companions of the agents help the wounded ministerial policemen, who display visible injuries across different parts of their bodies.

One of the agents was on the staircase that leads to the gym on the second floor.

The bloody body is administered first aid by two people; one of them places a tourniquet on his right arm with a belt, while the agent holds his arm with his left hand. Yet the officer maintains his weapon fastened to his belt at the 4 o’clock position.
