A car driver responded to an attempted robbery in Brooklin, an upscale area in São Paulo's South Zone. He managed to seize the gun from the assailant, who was on a motorcycle, and shot him three times. The 35-year-old assailant later died in the hospital.

After being hit, the motorcyclist abandoned his motorcycle - which was stolen - in the middle of the avenue and, despite being injured, ran away. He was later admitted to Campo Limpo Hospital, where he died.

That's exactly what the asshole deserved (though I would be careful firing a gun in traffic, for fear of shooting an innocent bystander). In the UK, though, the person in the car would now face a lifetime in jail and the thief would be claiming compensation if they had not been killed.
