Perhaps the Chinese (or someone else) will come up with the real thing next time - a virus with the lethal capacity of rabies (nearly 100 percent if you don't get the shots) but which spreads on the air not through bites, and for which no vaccine can be developed in time. Then the detestable human race can be swept into the dustbin of history.

It's not that easy to obliterate an animal species, genetic variation will always cause some specimens to be immune to a biological agent, life is resilient in that respect. A chemical agent on the other hand will be more likely to achieve total elimination of the human race (Nerve gas or some CNS attacking substance). |
