Thief Fleeing from Police Kills Himself with a Headshot
An alleged Mexican thief decided to take his own life after being cornered by police after shots exchange. According to police reports, the subject was prowling the Ciudad de Satelite bank area aboard a motorcycle and had committed a robbery, for which the police decided to conduct a routine check on him. However, the approximately 35-year-old subject refused and fired at the police officers, which led to a manhunt. When trying to escape, he encountered a police patrol unit that was participating in the operation, so he ditched his bike and tried to flee on foot, but was pursued by the officers. Neighbours of the place indicated that there were exchanges of firearm shots between municipal police officers and the subject, upon being cornered, he decided to take his own life by shooting himself in the head. His body was left lying on the street. The police found next to the body a Glock pistol type squad number plate BAMG722 and they are investigating if the weapon belongs to a police officer. Emergency services arrived at the scene and when they checked the man, they indicated that he no longer had vital signs. The area of the shooting was cordoned off while the investigations were being carried out and the body of the deceased was removed.      |
