Re: Thief Falls Through Roof + Ends Up Impaled
The budget for the latest 'Saw' movie was pretty small apparently.

Re: Thief Falls Through Roof + Ends Up Impaled
The sticking rebars were installed right under the piece of tin roof deliberately not fastened so anyone walking on the roof would "accidentally" fall and stick himself up. It is no coincidence that the piece of roof gave up under the skinny guy's weight and the rebar was underneath it. |

Re: Thief Falls Through Roof + Ends Up Impaled
Ah classic Brazilian roof trap. When you live in the cess pit, you have to go full McCauley Caulkin with your home security. The man that ran out of his shack wasn't horrified that someone fell through his sheet metal roof hole directly onto his cemented rebar spikeset, he was beaming like a proud fisherman.

Re: Thief Falls Through Roof + Ends Up Impaled
Seems improbable it was designed as a trap, but if you are correct, that would be scary as shit. I just can't see it though, young people who are screwing around and animals gets on roofs all the time in a swarthy place like that. It would be a time consuming effort and cost to pour concrete with rebar just for a trap in case a thief used it for an escape. I am guessing just an accident, guy might not have been a thief, maybe just a boyfriend leaving by the roof when the husband came home.
