Coach buses in Thailand are actually one of the most comfortable i've been on. It is roomy inside and the top deck seats up front gives a good view. All the luggage are loaded into the baggage compartment in the belly of the truck before passengers board. There's a clean toilet, plus lunch box with drinks is provided. It's nothing like the packed buses in India.

Looks like the driver mishandled the bus, hit the road divider and lost control at significant speeds. Maybe the driver is high on drugs, the most common being 'Ya Ba' a mix of meth and caffeine.
