Never fool around with heavy machinery. Something as simple as a metal carving tool can rip your entire arm off in a split second if your shirt sleeve gets stuck on it. Most workplace accidents happen exactly when the worker gets too complacent and too comfortable around the machine he's working on. Lost a couple fingers myself when I was younger and more foolish.

Tool & die? Did you loose your fingers in a metal stamping or punch press? The joke used to be that you could spot the tool & die guys at the local bar, they would hold their beer with their thumb and pinky as they were missing the other fingers.. |
