A couple people are walking nearby at when it first happens. You can see them near the top of the screen walking from left to right. After that they’re just off camera taking bets, I guess. There’s not really a fix though, a couple rotations on that thing are plenty enough to end your life. After that it’s just tossing your loose change.

Sad when footage of your death is so repetitive by the halfway mark that the spectator feels the need to switch between you being spun to death, and Brazilian llama porn, in order to get stay engaged.

Least now I can scratch that off my "ways to die" list.
