This is why I always make eye contact with drivers when I cross the road just to make sure they see me. Never assume they see you.

The cars probably just assumed it was clear, I know I've accidentally ran a red light following a truck who ran the last seconds of a yellow light before. I couldn't see the light because I was basically on the trucks ass. You just kind of assume the truck has cleared the path for you, idk, maybe that's just me.  |

Simple public announcement do not walk in front of a truck who’s cab is 10 feet tall!!! You see this so much in Asia.
