A temporary correctional officer, identified as A. M. was executed with several shots this Sunday morning. The victim had just left duty at the prison rehabilitation unit. He worked in monitoring and was surprised by criminals when driving his bike.

The criminals approached and fired 4 shots hitting the officer in the head and chest. The victim died at the scene and the criminals escaped.

The police launched an investigation.
Fear takes over professionals hired to work in the prison system of maranhão. In recent years there have been several attacks and even executions without the police being able to clarify most cases.

In December armed bandits made a murder attempt on the life of the security officer of the prison complex Anderson Bernardes Rocha, known as "gross mass". He was shot with several shots as he left his residence but managed to survive.

However another temporary agent A.M.R.D was not so lucky. He was attacked by two men on a motorcycle in front of the door of his residence in vila mauro and died on the spot.

Also in January of this year another victim was temporary agent C. A. C. He was surprised by two men on a motorcycle when he was at the door of the bank of Brazil. The victim was shot with several shots and died at the scene.

Last month a military police officer of the state of maranhão, W.F.N, was shot dead on his way out to work.
