You're right of course. Nevertheless, I stand by statement. I have rewatched it, and I am now able to offer explanation. Three of them. 1. As per the usual, I judged this as I do most things... In cartoon standards. If this was in a cartoon even a small child would find it to be perfect. 2. What's done is done, so to the future this fella leaves a special message to other would be show offs. A perfect message. If I was any colder, I might even say that properly utilized this clip could give this person's life meaning. Imagine this clip looping on panel displays at other show off hot spots. Would this happen again? Would you at least agree that if it did happen again, a video of a show off watching a show off getting his head spanked off, while getting his own head spanked off would be perfect? 3. As stated above, and in the spirit of not crying over spilled milk, let us say that this gentleman was not actually killed by a train for a moment. Let us instead say that the World, frustrated with humans for taking granted their time on it, decided that someone needed to get their head slapped off. So not a train, but the World--moving as fast as a World does, focused some of its particles into whatever that hand shaped outcrop that actually hit that guy was, and then used it to slap off his head. I think the World made an excellent split second decision. Again, if the World had already made up its mind anyway, and it wasn't hungry for a child molester, pharmaceutical CEO, or the like, I think the World's choice was perfect. |
