A teenager died after being hit by a truck on Thursday night (5), on CE-060, in the municipality of Quixeramobim, Ceará state, Brazil.

According to the Military Police, the accident occurred around 9:20 pm. The victim was with two other teenagers, all on bicycles. They were holding onto the back of a box truck when the young boy lost his balance, fell, and was run over by the vehicle.

The truck driver did not stop, but after being tracked down by police, he claimed he was completely unaware he had ran over somebody. After providing a statement, he was released.
