Teenager Kills Himself In the Street By Shooting Himself in the Head
A young man, identified as Vinicius C.A., 19, committed suicide with at least two shots to the head on May 2nd in Belmonte, Bahia state, Brazil. According to reports, the young man had said goodbye to his family, left home and committed suicide in front of an establishment. The young man was rescued by people and taken to the Municipal Hospital, but ended up dying due to the lack of an ambulance to transfer him to another hospital in Porto Seguro, 74.5km away. It is not yet known for sure how the young man got the gun and what motivated his suicide. However, according to some reports, Vinicius had links with a criminal gang. He had attempted to leave, but was threatened with murder by the other members of the gang. |

It really didn't seem like he was all that committed to taking his own life. I wonder if he ultimately pulled the trigger the final time to spare himself the embarrassment/shame of knowing that others would know. I find this one to be a little more sad than some of the others because I suspect this is a case where he may have felt very differently about it fairly quickly. |
